Deleting Your Account
How to permanently delete your Cool Popup account and download a copy of your data.
Account deletion process
Cool Popup follows a two-step deletion process to prevent accidental data loss.
Request deletion
Navigate to Account → Delete account. Enter your password to confirm your identity, then click Request account deletion.
Cool Popup sends a confirmation email to your registered email address with a secure, time-limited link.
Confirm via email
Click the link in the confirmation email. You'll see a page with two options:
- Download data export — Download a copy of all your account data before deletion
- Permanently delete account — Irreversibly delete your account and all associated data
What gets deleted
When you permanently delete your account, the following data is removed:
- Your profile and login credentials
- All campaigns and their notifications
- All notification handlers
- All custom domains
- All statistics and tracking data
- All team memberships (teams you own are deleted; teams you belong to remove your membership)
- Payment history records
- Activity logs
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Make sure to download your data export before confirming deletion.
Data export
The data export provides a downloadable file containing all your account data. This is your last opportunity to save information before the account is removed.
Expiration
The confirmation link in the email expires after a set time. If it expires, you'll need to start the process again from the account deletion page.
Shopify users
If your account is linked to a Shopify store, uninstalling the Cool Popup app from Shopify will also initiate account cleanup. Any active Shopify subscriptions will be canceled through Shopify's billing system.
