Security & 2FA
Protect your Cool Popup account with two-factor authentication and monitor login activity.
Two-factor authentication
Cool Popup supports TOTP-based two-factor authentication (2FA) using authenticator apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
Enabling 2FA
Open the 2FA tab
Go to Account → Settings and select the Two-Factor Authentication tab.
Scan the QR code
Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen. Alternatively, enter the secret key manually.
Verify with a code
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm the setup.
Once enabled, you'll be prompted for a 2FA code every time you log in.
Disabling 2FA
To turn off 2FA, go to the same tab and click Disable. You'll need to enter a current 2FA code to confirm.
If you lose access to your authenticator app and can't generate codes, contact support to regain access to your account.
Changing your password
Go to Account → Settings → Security tab to change your password. Enter your current password and the new password twice to confirm.
Login activity logs
Monitor who's accessing your account by navigating to Account → Logs. Each entry shows:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Event | The type of activity (e.g., login success, login failure) |
| IP address | The IP that initiated the action |
| Device | Device type, operating system, and browser |
| Location | Country and city (based on IP geolocation) |
| Date | When the event occurred |
Use the filters to search by keyword, device type, continent, or country. You can also export the log as CSV or JSON.
Review your login logs regularly. If you see unfamiliar IPs or locations, change your password and enable 2FA immediately.
